Uxbridge is called the “Trail Capital of Canada”. There is a large & growing network of trails for hiking, biking, running & horseback riding. A new addition to the trial network is a system of Town Trails that wind their way through the town and link to the Countyside, Oak Ridges and Trans-Canada trails.
The first of these trails - "The Quaker Trail" - is accessed through the Museum grounds on Quaker Hill. Parking, modern washrooms (during open hours) and picnic grounds are available at no cost. Why not take in a tour of the 10 museum buildings and learn more about the Quakers, before or after an enjoyable walk along the Trail?
Maps of the trail are available free of charge at the Museum. This trail is a generally easy walk. The total Outside Loop is 2.5 kms, NORTH LOOP is 2.2kms (suitable for all ages & abilities) and the South Loop is 1.7 kms with some slight slopes.
