Leodis is an online photographic archive containing over 59,000 images of Leeds, old and new and is managed by Leeds Library and Information Service.
Picture the Past
The libraries and museums of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have in their collections, hundreds of thousands of historic photographs, slides, glass plates, postcards and engravings recalling the history of the local communities over the last hundred years and more.
Virtual Mitchell
The photographs feature Glasgow’s buildings and streets as well as people going about their daily lives. They will be of great interest to local historians, people researching their family history and anyone who would like a glimpse of Glasgow in days gone by. Most of the photographs are from Archives and Special Collections housed in the Mitchell Library. There are also images from Glasgow Museums and some have been kindly lent by private owners.
